Discover two remarkably well-preserved underground shelters that were designed to withstand air-raids during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). The objects and oral explanations displayed in the different rooms show you the historical and social context that surrounded the construction and use of these bombshelters in Alicante. During the war more than 96 small shelters had been built. You will visit the largest one, which could hold up to 1.200 people. You will hear and experience sensations that shelter seekers had via two recordings that reproduce the sound of the bombings.
